The Rat’s Whiskers | 11am
Speciality Tea Tasting

Like many people, Verity from the Rat’s Whiskers I believed that fruit and herb teas always smell delicious but tasted disappointing. This is why she started blending her own. No tea bags and no added flavourings, just carefully blended mixtures of fruits, herbs and spices. She will be talking through several of her blends, explaining what and why, how to brew so you the full flavour, and giving you the chance to taste.

Her selection includes: Robust spiced orange, with hibiscus, cinnamon, lemon and ginger, with lemon grass, and lemon balm. For a smoother, more rounded taste, gentle soothing mint and lavender, with the under-note of nettle. Calming kennet tropical, with pineapple-weed, (an underappreciated relative of chamomile) lime and jasmine, with the sweet taste of linden flowers, to balance the tang of lime peel. Her aim is to help people appreciate the whole world of flavour and refreshment, and steer you to a taste that you can enjoy.

Horsebox Coffee – Speciality Coffee | 12pm

Enjoy a brief introduction to the wonderful world of speciality coffee and home brewing with Emily Stewart from Horsebox Coffee. We will demonstrate and taste three different coffee origins through various pieces of simple modern home brewing equipment.
